ENCORE MUSIC WEBSITE (ONLINE INDIE MUSIC ORG.)
where it began...
SYNOPSIS
Enc0re is a tiny indie music organization made up of a collective of artists including musicians and visual artists, to promote indie electronic musicians. The site served as a navigation and contact point to aid in Enc0re's community growth. After a few streams to showcase community artists' music, the organization disbanded and was unfortunately shut down. I am glad to have been part of a kind team and a good community.PROCESS
After joining the Ec0re community as a member, I explored the official community site, inspiration and gall compelled me to improve the site's mediocre design into a more interesting one. Starting from a traditional wireframe, unaware of the tools of Figma yet, I began replicating the wireframe into HTML5/CSS, diving into consistent trial and error until I felt confident in the Ec0re web development team. After presenting to the team and receiving criticism, I was brought onto the team as their designer and front-end developer.IMPACT
The new design of the landing page makes the site more compelling and pleasing to the eye. Making the metallic logo the heart of the page and ensuring the placement of the text and links is comfortable. The design aesthetically showcases Enc0re's brand.TAKEAWAY
This opportunity gave me first-hand experience of working within a team, expected to create designs that fit the brand, to realize I cannot take so much control, and to build the patience to communicate and allow others to criticize my work just as I criticize theirs. The experience was short-lived, but it introduced me to a skill I would want to continue to develop.

SYNOPSIS
Within a team, I was the designer for a calendar app that would simplify the process of creating events and reminders for the user.PROCESS
Similar to the DOLLARS project process, I gathered references, sketched out various wireframes for each page, and transitioned them into low-fidelity mockups. The design was greatly inspired by the Neumorphism minimalist style.IMPACT
The app would've made setting reminders or events visually pleasing and an easy process.TAKEAWAY
Being part of the team gave me great insight into my faults and communication, though I was let go because the lead realized they didn't need a designer for the app entirely, they gave me great criticism for consistently communicating and receiving feedback on even if changes are small rather than relying on bulk changes and development that could risk result of making the client unhappy. This criticism encourages me to build better and more consistent communication, receive feedback, and break my boundaries of receiving criticism of step-by-step development.
DOLLARS WEBSITE REVAMP

SYNOPSIS
Brought to real life from the anime, DURARARA!!, the official DOLLARS website. As a fan of the series, I redesigned the website as a personal project. Turning the simplistic to a minimalist social-media blogging design.PROCESS
I began searching for references for other websites and graphic designs to direct my inspiration. Then, I sketched out a paper wireframe and transitioned the wireframe into Figma as a low-fidelity to a high-fidelity mockup, finalizing the look as a prototype. I gathered criticism from other designers and developers within the UX/UI field to improve the design, pinpointing any faults and proceeded to revise the designs. Currently, I am developing the project into react.js to further my skill in front-end web development coding and will soon showcase them on Codepen.IMPACT
The updated design gives the site a more modern, succinct, and seamless look.TAKEAWAY
The process of referencing, sketching, and developing the project gave me more insight into the UX/UI design process. Gathering criticism from others greatly improved the look and feel of the project.
